Like the story of the great bird, the Phoenix, PokémartUSA rose from the ashes of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.

In the Beginning...

Our founder, Eli, was like most young adults of 2020. He was in his second year of college, working part-time as a server at an Italian restaurant where he was sent home from both in March of 2020 to quarantine with the rest of the world.

As everyone was sent home to work, Eli decided to launch an online trading card business called, PokémartUSA.

Business Foundations...

Being a new business during a pandemic was good and bad. The good was that we had time to build the brand, research the market and determine what our potential customers would want.

The bad was finding a distributor whose business was disrupted by the pandemic and convincing them to take a chance on a brand NEW business with no following and no customers. Thankfully, a distributor out of Oregon was willing to take a chance on a 'local' resident and PokémartUSA was launched.

Outcome...

Within two years, PokémartUSA became the largest distributor of Pokémon cards in the Pacific North West and continues to grow. In May of 2024 we launched a store in Phoenix, Arizona and continue to build communities of enthusiasts, both on our Discord Channel and in the local Phoenix area. If you live in the Phoenix area.
